Outreach
Public Science Communication
Natural History Museum Fellow
I participated in workshops and outreach events using the NSF portal to the public model to practice and effectively administer outreach to the public and K-12 students. Due to this training, I have presented my constructed outreach activity, “Cutting Edge: How Cut Marks Shed Light on Ancient Human Diet” at multiple public outreach scientist spotlight events hosted at the University of Michigan Museum of Natural History, to showcase my research to the general public.
Center for Community Archaeology and Heritage
Graduate Fellow
As a Graduate Student Fellow with the Center for Community Archaeology and Heritage, I help bridge academic research with public engagement and community collaboration. My role emphasizes ethical, inclusive archaeology that centers descendant communities, shares authority, and makes knowledge accessible. I support outreach, public programming, and collaborative research that foregrounds community voices in heritage interpretation. I carry these principles into my own work by fostering partnerships, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring my research remains relevant and accessible to the communities it touches.
